CMS 4804: Player Experience Essay

Using the assigned readings and examples presented in class as a model, create an essay focused on your experience playing a game other than the three assigned for our class.

Content

Your essay should refer explicitly to our class and its assigned materials. Your analysis of your experience should include key terms and concepts presented in our class.

Ideally, the essay also should tell a story, managing dramatic tension to engage your reader in the gaming experience that you are describing.

Length and format

Your project should be either a

• 3-page double-spaced written essay
• 6-minute video essay

Submission

By the due date, upload either of the following to the “Player Experience” assignment drop box in D2L.

• A Microsoft Word document that includes your written essay
• The URL for your video, posted on YouTube and set to either “public” or “unlisted”
