Paragraph Coherence

This assignment covers integrating sources and and writing coherent paragraphs.

Google defines coherence as

  1. the quality of being logical and consistent.
  2. the quality of forming a unified whole.

Integrating sources

You must convince your readers that they can trust you. Since you are not a recognized expert in communicating with images, you must support your argument with references to authorities. In this case, that means referring explicitly to the guidelines presented by Lynch and Horton.

Techniques for doing this properly are discussed by Hacker in sections MLA-2 and MLA-3.

Writing effective paragraphs

We discuss coherence and transitions, which are covered in Hacker section C4.
